I needed to come and see my family and spend time with them before I leave for over seas for 5 months.
What I love about Florida is there a certain set of things we do everytime, without fail- and I love it.
1.) Random roaming of stores:
Josh, Josh ( my brother and his husband) and I went to this cool record store, and vintage botique.
2.) Nights Out: This time was different than when we normal go out; it was just me and my sister and we went somewhere I liked.
It was this place called Redlight Redlight. It has a hipster, industrial feel to it. My sister and I had a lovely time. It was a good bonding night for us.
3.) Wekiva Springs:
This one is my favorite tradition Wekiva Springs is a Natural Spring. The water is crystal clear, cold, and it's in a beautiful location.
You can go kayacking, swimmming, sit in the sun and have a picnic. It is lovely. Its the best for clear, underwater, Gopro pictures.
4.) Familar faces:
I get to spend time with my family. I went out for dinner and beer with two of my cousins and one of there husbands and kids, it was a nice evening. I love the Campbells.
I get to spend time with my Oma// she is sassy as per usual. She questioned me on whether my best friend and I were lesbians. This is a common question, I am almost use to it now.
I also got to hangout with a childhood friend I haven't seen since elementarty school! It was crazy, but super nice to see her and catch up. We went to an album party, the best vegan restaurant, and then had some drinks!
5.) The beach:
I always love the beach. It's my happy place.
I love the sound of the waves, and the way the water feels like it heals your whole body.
I have always been a water person. I love to swim and be immersed in the water .
and work on my tan ;)
