Paris, France 2016

Paris, France October 14- 19, 2016

I have always really wanted to go to Paris since I was little.  I went this weekend with two of my mates : Nin and Euan. We also went with Vincent and Hugo, two friends of ours from the student hotel and they are both from Paris. It was nice to have some locals taking us to the best spots.

Paris was a dream. Just going to France in general was exciting. Another country crossed off the list.
I would recommend Paris to everyone. It has a big city feel but with the old city architecture.

We stayed at this super cosy airbnb, we even expanded our trip from 3 to five days. I think we saw and did a whole lot in our time in Paris.

The first day we were tired so we just ate a nice dinner and walked around a little bit. We ended up stumbling on this local little pub, where all the old men went to. We were not there normal crowd. It was a nice, simple night. The owner and all the guys loved us.

Our first full day was the best day. We went to the Louvre Museum. It was such a lovely museum. It has the Mona Lisa at it.

We also saw the Bastille statue. Then we went and saw the Eiffel Tower. We got a few bottles of wine, bread and some cheese. We sat in the Eiffel Tower park. It was such a movie moment. It was just something that you really stop and appreciate.

We then went to a bar and where we met two local guys. We all got hammered and then went to smoke on the bridge with such a nice view.

( when you think the boys love you)

The next day we went to this Rose place. Where its a local bar outside with some street pizza. We got some good ass pizza and some beers. This is where we decided to extend our trip longer.

We then to Notre Dame to meet out two friends that are from Paris.

Next we went to sit under the bridge of the Notre Dame. It was pouring drunk and we were wasted. We sat with our feet staring at the church, with these four guys singing in french, while it echoed through the bridge. We all stopped to appreciate what a good moment it was.

We went to a bar and all got overly wasted.

We also got to see the abandoned railroads. This was actually super cool because it is a place that only really locals go to. Even our friend it was to hard to find. We looked for two hours and ended up finding it. We were so proud of ourselves.

There wasn't a regular entry way to it so we had to jump the fence. It was so cool. The tracks had nature going through it and there was  bunch of really cool graffiti and it was the tracks over the city so at some parts of it we were over looking Paris.

Then we stopped to get a few drinks and ending up getting a little to crazy at happy hour before going to the Paris Catacombs.

The Paris catacombs are this underground cemetery. That you have to take 130 steps to get down too. It is filled with  the remains of over six million people  in a small part of the ancient Mines of Paris tunnel network. It gave you an erie feeling. It was so weird to see- especially drunk.

We then got more drunk, embarrassed ourselves on the metro, went to sit and see the Champs Elysee's.

We all got blackout drunk, got home at 5am and we had to be up at 7:30 for a 8 hour bus ride.

We struggled so much in the morning. We all took turns throwing up. I am pretty sure that everyone on their morning commute thought we were homeless crack addits. We looked so rough. Our bus was so rough but it was funny and made for a good story.

Paris was everything and such a nice time.
